Terms and Conditions of Hire for Crossroads

Conditions of Hire

Hireage requirements 
  • A Crossroads approved Duty Manager is required to be in attendance for the duration of the Hire of Auditorium 1 and if needed for Hire of Auditorium 2. 
  • If your event requires the stage in Auditorium 1 to be cleared of musical instruments and risers please note that this will incur a fee of $100. 
  • It is preferable that the piano is not moved as this is wired into the sound system but if it is absolutely required to be moved then a fee of $300 will be charged to cover the move and retuning of the piano. All areas 
  • Absolutely no Alcohol to be brought onto the premises 
  • The whole Crossroads site is Non Smoking/Vaping 
  • No Animals allowed on the premises 
  • Any rubbish generated with the Hire is to be removed by the Hirer 
  • Any food consumables must be removed from the premises by the Hirer 
  • The hirer must request permission from Crossroads before applying decorations, banners, posters etc. 
  • If items are left behind at Crossroads and not retrieved within 3 months Crossroads reserves the right to dispose of those items.
  • If any damage to the property is made, the hirer will be required to cover the cost or repair or cleaning. 

Accidents and Incidents 
  • The Hirer is responsible for declaring any damage to equipment, goods, chattels, furnishings, furniture and building during the time of Hire and is required to pay for replacement or repair to damaged items. 
  • Should an accident occur and guests are injured an accident report is to be completed. The Hirer agrees to indemnify Crossroads against all costs, claims and charges if injury occurs to person/s using the premises during the period of hire. Crossroads reserves the right to refuse hire to groups it deems to be unsympathetic to our belief system. 

Payments:
  • Upon confirmation of a booking, it is expected that the full quoted cost is paid
  • Bookings cancelled 14 days outside of the booking are refundable 
  • Bookings cancelled with 14 days of the event are refunded 50% of the quoted cost.

Additional Charges

We also charge
$32.50+GST per hour (min 3 hours) for AV/Sound Techs for Auditorium 1
$32.50+GST per hour for a Duty Manager if required for large-scale events.
A deposit of 10% may be required on Booking
